We collected some leaves from different trees in a lovely variety of shapes and sizes and used them to make leaf rubbings to create an autumn tree in art! We also used another body part in our pictures - can you spot which body part?
We also went on our annual school walk to Corkagh Park last week. The weather was a little bit dull, but that didn't stop our excitement. This year we walked around the edge of the park and it was really long. We spotted the old oil mill and the wall of the old house as we walked. We also really enjoyed seeing the Fairy Woods as we passed by.
Thankfully we still had enough energy for the playground at the end and we had loads of fun climbing and playing with all of our friends.
You can see some of the fun we had in our pictures below.
We also revisited the story of the Owl Babies by Martin Waddell. Most of us knew this story but this time we discussed and wrote about how Sarah, Percy and Bill were 'feeling' in the story. We talked about courage, worry, sadness and fear.
We created our own Owl Babies in art by tearing paper! We then used carrots, apples and our fingers to print the features of the owls. Twit twoo!
